Salomé Chatriot presents 'Void is Seductive' her second solo exhibition at the gallery. A five-channel video installation, 'First Month of Anger', follows a transparent, headless figure inhabiting an unstable and hypersensitive body. The computer-generated form has no interior or exterior; she exists only as representation, folded back on herself through inverted geometry and reflective surfaces.
Accompanying the installation are new enamel paintings and 'Void is Seductive 2', a leather sculpture that translates the video's protagonist into physical form. Together, these works examine the machine's paradoxical existence: entirely dependent on being seen, yet never truly present, she shouts her desire [for violence].
